LONDON: British oil and gas firm Cairn Energy said on Tuesday it had made another potentially large oil discovery in India.
Cairn, which only last month revealed a second big onshore find in India for the year, said it had made "a potentially significant oil discovery" in Rajasthan.
It said preliminary estimates of oil in place for the N-C-1 well covered a very wide range. "Assuming a purely structural trap, the preliminary mean oil in place estimate for the field is approximately 400 million barrels," the company said.
