HYDERABAD: CBAY Systems (India), part of the U.S.-based CBay Group, engaged in medical transcription services, has announced a major expansion plan in India. In the next two years the company is planning to ramp up its headcount to 2,700 from 500 at present in its Hyderabad center. The CBay Systems, Chief Executive Officer, Raman Kumar said, the company has signed an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh Government to acquire an eight-acre site and plans to create a campus by investing about $15.90 million. The company made an entry into Hyderabad after it took over Ckar Systems, a medical transcription company of the Karvy group. “Apart from growing the Hyderabad center, we are also looking to tap the potential in the tier two cities of the State. Given the response we have had from the Vijayawada center that currently employs about 100 people, we would look into the option of considering centers at Warangal, Tirupathi, Vizag,” he said. The company recorded revenues of $50 million and plans to grow to about 10,000 people within two years. Of this a significant part of additions would be in Hyderabad center, Kumar said.
