Bangalore: Technicolor has named Biren Ghose as Country Head for its operations in India. His new remit sees him retain his current role as General Manager of the recently re-branded Technicolor India. Technicolor is a global provider of production, postproduction, and distribution services to content creators, network service providers and broadcasters. The company also operates an intellectual property and licensing business unit. Technicolor has created the position of Country Head in a number of key strategic regions including India, China, UK and Australia. With this appointment, Biren will join the Technicolor Senior Leadership Team. His first priority will be to drive an in-country 'one company' approach towards employees, local customers and support function structures. He will guide the company's future growth both in terms of local infrastructure and people management as well as commercial and political representation. "We are extremely pleased that Biren has taken up this challenge and that he will continue to use his considerable personal profile to spearhead Technicolor's ever-expanding efforts in India," stated Frederic Rose, Chief Executive Officer of Technicolor. "India is a key growth region for Technicolor, currently a centre for our animation and games industries, it already serves as the creative hub for our dedicated DreamWorks and Nickelodeon teams and is the future home for Technicolor's IP animation production."
