BT Telconsult mulls tie up with Indian firms

NEW DELHI: Betting big on Indian Technology firms, BT Telconsult, the consulting arm of British Telecom(BT) is negotiating with Indian companies for partnerships to tap telecom consultancy opportunities across the world. Telconsult is exploring the possibility of partnership with Indian consultancy firms who would like to worwk with us globally. Most of the Indian firms in this sector are not operating outside the country and we offer the BT brand for partnership, BT Telconsult CEO Paul Falkner said. We are in discussions with firms as well as individuals in this regard, he said. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is a strong contender for the partnership. Speking about skilled manpower in India, Falkner said, “we want to take advantage of Indian expertise and use our brand and processes to tap the fast emerging consultancy opportunities in the world. He also said BT will start office in India to facilitate business and will employ 50 persons for its business in India.
