BSNL's landline for 20 in rural Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: The state-owned telecom major Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) will now provide basic phone connections in rural Uttar Pradesh at monthly instalments of 20, a top company official said Monday. "The upcoming scheme will be exclusively launched in the villages in August," BSNL's general manager for marketing in the state Rajesh Kumar told IANS. "The total cost of the offer will be 200. However, those who cannot pay 200 in one go can avail the offer by depositing 20 every month," he added. The scheme will provide 20 free calls per month to its subscribers.
