BSNL mobile services across India by Oct 2

The state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has decided to start off mobile services across the country by October 2, BSNL chairman & managing director Prithipal Singh told said here on Monday.

MUMBAI: "Our services would be better and reliable, and the package would be attractive with wider capacity and coverage,'' he said. ''Once in competition, the BSNL will work hard to prove that its services are better than others to attract clientale,'' he said. With the opening of this centre, subscribers can make online payments for new telephone connections, STD PCOs and telephone bills. Other commercial activities like requests for provision of STDs, resetting of STD code, internet and ISDN connections, leased lines web and IT cards, provision of STD and CCB PCOs and shifting of telephones could be made from any of the centres set up at Ambala Cantonment, Ambala city, Yamunanagar, Chhachhrauli and Kalka.
