Avolent appoints Bhupai Singh as CFO

SAN FRANCISCO: Avolent Inc., a provider of financial relationship management (FRM) software, announced Wednesday that it has named Bhupi Singh as the company's new chief financial officer effective immediately. Singh will focus on directing Avolent's strategic financial direction as it rapidly expands its presence in the Electronic Invoicing and Financial Relationship Management marketplace. In this role, Singh is responsible for Avolent's accounting, financial planning, information technology, human resources, and facilities functions. He is based at Avolent's headquarters in San Francisco, California. "We are fortunate to attract Bhupi and further enhance the quality and depth of Avolent's executive management team," said Doug Roberts, chief executive officer of Avolent. "With over twenty years of financial management and accounting experience in leading technology firms and a strong track record in leading private companies to growth and financial success, Bhupi will be a tremendous asset to Avolent." Singh spent 15 years at Apple Computer, starting in Singapore, and has worked in many capacities in the U.S., including senior controller for Apple Products, senior director, finance for PC products and senior director, finance for Worldwide R&D. In 1996, he left Apple to become CFO of LynuxWorks, a leader in the embedded software market, providing operating systems, software development products and consulting services for the world's most successful communications, aerospace/defense, and consumer products companies. In 2001, Singh joined Volera Inc., an eBusiness networking software solution provider, as CFO. "Every step of my career has been about strategic financial planning and profitability improvement," said Singh. "My past experience presented me with a set of unique challenges and has resulted in a long list of successes. I am delighted to join Avolent's strong management team, as we increase Avolent's focus on all aspects of customer success in the growing market for Financial Relationship Management solutions."
