Atesto to shut down

Fremont, CA: French IT management firm InfoVista (NASDAQ: IVTA) has acquired application performance monitoring technology from Fremont-based Atesto Technologies.
The acquisition of Atesto's application performance monitoring platform is the final major acquisition of third-party technology planned for integration in the next release of InfoVista's enterprise solution suite. In a statement Tuesday, InfoVista said it has acquired Atesto's technology for an undisclosed sum.
Under the terms of the purchase agreement, Atesto will discontinue operations and transfer the ownership of its software and registered intellectual property rights to InfoVista, the company said.
Tarun Kotal, Chief Technology Officer and Dave Mukherjee (CEO till June 2002) founded Atesto in 2000.
