Aptech gets global recognition

Chennai: The Chennai based Aptech has been awarded the Global Registered Education Provider status by the American Project Management Institute. The firm will now be able to offer PMI recognised project management training and professional service to project management professionals. Aptech has planned to train 5,000 professionals this year in PMI-REP, a company statement said here. Its flagship programme in computer education, Aptech Certified Computer Professional (ACCP), has also been selected as the "Best ICT Training programme" in the "Best ICT Choice of Mongolia 2007" competition. This competition was organised by the Information, Communication and Technology Authority of Mongolia along with MIDAS/MONITA NGO, National IT Park, MFMC Co Ltd and Biz Online Co Ltd. The selection was done on the basis of online voting and letters of support. The ACCP programme is offered in 40 countries across five continents. Aptech's centre in Mongolia has enrolled close to 200 students for the ACCP programme in its first year of operation. Aptech has trained over 4.5 million students globally in 21 years.
