Bangalore: Apple will rule the tablet market for another four years, according to the report by Gartner research firm. Gartner said it expects 70 million media tablet to be sold in this year and 108 million in 2012. Microsoft's Windows Phone would jump to the second place among smartphone platforms. The soon to be launched Play Book tablet by Research In Motion's QNX platform will take the No.3 position with 5.6 percent share. Gartner predicts that rising to 10 percent in 2015. Apple has sold around 1 million iPad 2 of its U.S. launch in early last month. Whereas Samsung, the most aggressive contender to Apple with three different sizes of tablets, has also sold the similar number of Galaxy Tab but the sales growth remains weak. Lee Seung-woo, an analyst at Shinyoung Securities, said, "Expectations for tablets have driven Samsung shares since November, but it has so far failed to live up to that expectation. Whether Samsung's share can rise again will largely depend on how strongly its follow-up tablet models do in the market." It is been predicted that the 69 percent of Apple share market will decline to 47 percent in 2015 while Google share price will rise by 39 percent from 20.
