Bangalore: Apple is planning to launch their new TV that relies on wireless streaming technology. The entry of Apple into the world of TV was a big ambition of its late co-founder, Steve Jobs. Apple had already launched its set top box in the US markets last year which is available for $99. Even though Apple says it sold more than a million pieces, company hasn't provided the sales figures since. Apple has been conducting meetings with media companies in the past few weeks and according to the reports, Apple is planning to change the way consumers watch TV, like the company changed the way the people hear music and also the cell phone industry. The TV device will be using a version of Apples wireless streaming technology called "airplay" to synchronize it with iPhones and iPads. The technology will allow consumers to stream a video from the iPhone and watch it on the TV. Apple has been working on the prototypes for years. Late Steve Jobs had told his biographer Walter Isaacson that he had "finally cracked" the TV problem. The media giants are keeping a close eye on the Apples movements as they had a monopoly over the cable pricing and the related revenue from ads. Apple is not disclosing any more details about their attack into the TV field but it is clear from the scenario that they are planning on something big. So let's wait to see the future of the TV.
