Bangalore: Google's Android has gained a huge momentum among the consumers. However, developers still like to explore the world of Apple iOS . In a survey of around 27,000 developers, the number of developers interested in building for Android dropped to 85 percent in April 2011 from 87 percent in January 2010. A survey by Appcelerator with help from IDC says that developers still favor iOS for making mobile applications. A 91 percent of developers said that they prefer working for iPhone while 86 percent of them would like to make application for iPad. The developers find hard to build a single application for Andriod and its fragmentation is a big concern. However, Android is still working out some kinks in terms of supporting development. Apple has more of a tried-and-true solution. Apple incorporates everything developers want. It provides a developer toolkit that is not only strong but also easy to use. Customers are relatively ready to spend money on such application due to its easy access. It also has a big install base with a good future ahead. Hence developers vouch for iOS rather than Andriod.
