Bangalore: Al Tayer, a diversified group with retail operations spanning luxury and lifestyle segments, has completed the latest phase of a major IT overhaul, after going live on Oracle Retail v13, implemented and supported by OLR, a global innovator in implementing and supporting retail systems. The project was successfully implemented on time and under budget by a combined project team, and included products for merchandising, warehouse management, store operations, replenishment and the retail data warehouse. Al Tayer Group's Chief Information Officer, Brad Henderson, commented, "Implementation of 12 Oracle Retail applications simultaneously, within a period of 12 months with a smooth transition of all retail operations, is a milestone that we're pleased to have accomplished." Al Tayer Group has been undertaking a business transformation driven by the implementation of world class systems. Automotive applications were successfully implemented in June 2009 followed by Retail Applications in November 2009. "We introduced ORL midway through our project to help the business requirements for expertise, quality and timeliness," stated Henderson. "OLR consultants worked with our team to implement a full set of retail business processes supported by Oracle Retail functionality. The implementation of this project will provide a platform to cater to continued growth and drive significant value through efficient retail business processes, process controls and greater visibility over a diversified retail business model." "We are extremely pleased to have played such a significant role in bringing the most prestigious retailers in the Middle East live on such a broad Oracle Retail footprint," said Ken Wehr, CEO and President of OLR.
