Air Seychelles forays into Indian aviation sector

Chennai: Air Seychelles, the National air carrier of Seychelles, today made a formal foray into the Indian aviation sector with the launch of Chennai-Seychelles direct weekly flights. With this, the air carrier plans to make Chennai as its hub, connecting the Asian region, Air Seychelles Executive Chairman David Savy told reporters here. "This is as part of increasing our frequency... Right now we are offering services in US, France, South Africa, Italy, Mauritius and in Singapore.. Chennai is our new destination," he said. He said many tourists are preferring newer destinations and have now begin to look at Seychelles. The Boeing 767-200 flight leaves for Singapore every Wednesday and stops at Chennai, while the return journey flight from Singapore stops at Chennai before leaving for Seychelles on Monday.
