Chandigarh: India's only individual gold medal winner at the Beijing Olympics, shooter Abhinav Bindra, was Saturday gifted a Volvo car worth 3.9 million by the Swedish car manufacturer. The keys of the Volvo S-80 car were handed over to Bindra at a ceremony here by Volvo-India managing director Paul de Voijs. "I am grateful to the company for honouring me with this car," Bindra said. Incidentally, Bindra's industrialist father A.S. Bindra was the first buyer of a Volvo car when the Swedish car manufacturer started direct sales in India last year. Volvo chose Chandigarh to launch its cars in India given the craze among customers in Punjab and Chandigarh to buy high-end luxury cars.
