#Honda City: With a same engine as its younger sibling the Honda Amaze, City delivers an impressive efficiency on the highway and in the city with a little bit of oomph factor added on its side. With the same 1.5 litre, 4-cylinder engine churning out 100PS of power and 200 Nm of torque as the Amaze, this next generation city with a diesel engine delivers a good fuel efficiency of 14.2 Kmpl in the city and 19.2 Kmpl on the highway. Every generation of the Honda city have been on the top of the list and this one is no different from the others with it being the best one in the segment.

#Hyundai Grand i10: The Hyundai Grand i10 offers lots of cabin space and a good features list which can be compared to any entry-level Sedan in the segment. It comes with the new fluidic design which has 1.1 litre diesel engine producing 75 BHP of power and 152 Nm of torque. The grand comes with a 5-speed gear box which is mated to a variable geometry turbo charger. This car stands as a direct competition to  Maruti’s Swift and Ritz. The i10 grand delivered a fuel efficiency of 15.4 Kmpl in the city driving conditions and 19.6 out on the highway according to Autocar along with the ARAI tested efficiency of 24Kmpl.
