6 New Faces Among Fortune India's Most Powerful Women


Bangalore: Fortune India has ranked India’s 50 Most Powerful Women in Business for the second time, in its latest issue. While Chanda Kochhar of ICICI Bank maintains the first place, Mallika Srinivasan of TAFE and Aruna Jayanthi, CEO, Capgemini India move up to take the second and third place respectively. However, the six new entrants this year include:

Prabha Parameswaran, MD, Colgate-Palmolive India:
Prabha Parameswaran is one of the new faces in the latest edition of Fortune India’s Most Powerful Women in Business list. She has been the MD of the company since February 1, 2012. Under her leadership, the sales and market shares of the subsidiary have performed strongly. Prabha, with her broad based experience across categories in Global, Division and Subsidiary roles and strong leadership is definitely one of the most powerful women in business.

Aisha De Sequeira, MD, Morgan Stanley India Investment Banking:
Aisha de Sequeira, the Morgan Stanley MD is also another new name on the list. Aisha, 41, a mother of three is a power woman in the high-stakes world of investment banking. She has even pioneered the Wall Street firm to top slot in India’s $38 billion M&A market, with Morgan Stanley dominating all the three major deal league tables in 2011.
She has been responsible for overlooking and advising the full scale of investment banking services both inbound and outbound in India from scratch. She also has partnered with many global consumer companies like Unilever, PepsiCo, etc.
