Jeff Bezos and Blue Origin

Blue Origin, the aerospace company was set up by Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon in 2000. It came into public light only at 2006 and was planning to send suborbital flights by 2010. But somehow the process was delayed. In 2009, Blue origin got a $3.7 million funding from NASA followed by another $22 million during the second phase of development of a new “Launcher Abort System,” which NASA is interested in.

Bezos has not yet revealed the price tag for reserving a seat in his space vehicle.
