Groupon, the “Deal of the Day” website should seriously consider buying Foursquare- the world’s favorite check- in app. The buy can be justified clearly according to Eric Jackson of VB, who thinks there is a powerful small business CRM play in between Groupon- which spends tons to acquire small businesses that do one off marketing campaigns to deal seeking customers with zero loyalty and Foursquare- which spends nothing to track the customers of small businesses who have tons of loyalty.
