Visit to Bhutan: Modi on his maiden visit abroad after taking over office visited Bhutan. During his visit the Prime Minister all on Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and also hold talks with his Bhutanese counterpart Tshering Tobgay.
Tobgay said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Himalayan nation was a "success". "PM@narendramodi visit a success: All thanks to the blessings of our Guardian Deities; leadership of our Kings; good fortune of our People," Tobgay tweeted.

Interactions with secretaries of the government: PM Narendra Modi described the recent he had a meeting with secretaries of all government departments as a “very fruitful" one.

 During which he heard their views and asked them to make the government "people friendly". In a series of tweets posted, the prime minister wrote: "Had a very fruitful meeting with secretaries. Heard their views and asked to simplify administrative processes and make government people friendly. The prime minister met all secretaries at his residence without involving the ministers concerned. "Such a meeting has taken place after more than eight years," the prime minister's office said in a statement.
