15 Shortest-Tenured CEOs Ever

14 Kevin Rollins

CEO tenure: 2 years, 6 months

Kevin Rollins served DELL as its Chief Executive Officer from July 2004 to January 2007. In his final year at the company, Dell lost its lead in PC market share to rival Hewlett-Packard, and revenues landed below analysts' expectations.

Before he took the CEO post, Rollins was even considered a co-leader of the firm -- alongside the founder Michael Dell, who resumed the CEO job after Rollins left.

13 Christina Norman

CEO tenure: 2 years, 4 months

Christina Norman, the former president of MTV, served as the CEO at Oprah Winfrey's much-anticipated network from January 2009 to May 2011.

Winfrey built up her latest venture and was wholly confident in Norman's leadership, keeping the former MTV executive on board through the launch. But the OWN Network has fallen flop, not gathering as much attention or attraction as Winfrey expected. Several of its shows werepoorly received and cancelled, and in May -- just four months after the network went live -- Winfrey decided to run the network without Christina Norman and took up the position herself.
