In 2010, the US Navy created the most powerful electromagnetic rail-gun that has firepower of 33 mega-joules of force that is enough to fire projectiles to a distance of 4,500 to 5,600 miles in an hour. One mega joule is equivalent to a car that weighs a ton moving at a speed of 100 miles per hour. The Navy is now looking to enhance the technology by creating a gun that will fire multiple rounds per minute.

Hacking a 278-digit code seems almost impossible and the researchers thought that it will take thousands of years for someone to crack it but a group of Japanese researchers created a world record by hacking the code in just 148.2 days. They used a total of 21 computers that used 252 cores to conduct their cryptanalysis.
