12 Tech Titans Struggling To Survive Doomsday

#9 Nokia

Nokia, the yesteryear’s hero, failed miserably to hold its market. Consumers dumped the mobile manufacturer for the devices which run on new platforms like iOS and Android. The only solace to the company is that it is still thriving in low-cost feature phone market. However recently it got rundown by Samsung, which became the world’s top cell phone manufacturer, the title that was previously held by Nokia.

The company’s efforts to revive itself with its new adaptation of Windows Phone platform got tepid response. With its new Windows Phone 8 mobiles about to release in New Year; Nokia’s hopes are up.

#8 Research In Motion

Another company which was rundown by the success of iOS and Android is RIM. Once popular Smartphone manufacturer has lost millions of users across world and saw a severe plunge in its share values. The company is now betting heavily on its yet-to-be-unveiled BB10 operating system and is feeling sorted by its BBM service, which still remains one of the best mobile messengers.
