Bangalore: With the online advertisement in the household section expected to rise to $300 million (around 1400 crore) by 2010, Suksh, a technology and web solutions provider have unveiled its home service portal 100nests.com. "The main revenue option for 100nests will be online ads, as the online advertising for household market comprise of 70 percent of the total online market," said Shreyans Chopra, Founder and CEO, Suksh. Apart from the advertisements, 100nests.com will also have other revenue models in terms of transactions for which it has tie-ups with companies like ICICI Home Search and Glamsham. The company is bullish to achieve the target of roping in five million homes in the portal within a year, despite the grim scenario in the real estate market. The consumer market in India is currently, 3,483 billion which is expected to grow four times in next 15 years to 13,462 crore, as per a report by Mckinsey. The basic features of the portal would include valuation of the house registered in the portal, listing of home service providers in the locality and also include comparisons between localities in terms of valuation and quality. The company has tied up with Radiff and Sulekha for the service contents while the news content is provided by Indiatimes. Maintaining that the lack of internet penetration can be a challenge for the portal, the firm plans for offline promotion through distributing pamphlets, and through manual promotion among local vendors. The company has made a similar attempt in the U.S. through its portal Zillow.com, a $87 million funded company and it also has a real-estate portal 100floors.com. The other players in the field include 99acres.com and Makan.com.
