Indira Gandhi
Indira Gandhi was the third Prime Minister of India who served 11 years in her first term. She is known for her stern political method and centralization of power. Under her leadership India emerged with major power in the South Asia region. She also headed the state of emergency from 1975 to 1977 and the Operation Blue Star in 1984, which led to her assassination in the same year. She was polled the greatest Indian Prime Minister by India Today. She is largely credited for instigating the Green Revolution in India.

 Jyoti Basu
Jothi Basu was the longest serving Chief Minister in India. He served as the CM of West Bengal from 1977 to 2000. A member of the Communist Party of India (CPI) since it was formed in 1964 until 2008, he is also considered as one of the founding fathers of the CPI (M) and the Left movement in India. He is best known for the Land Reform in India. He also revitalized the three-tier panchayat system by decentralisation of powers.
