In 2006, she was appointed the CEO of the company. In 2009, she was named the ‘CEO of the Year’ by global supply chain leader’s group. Forbes ranks her number 10 in the list of ‘World’s 100 Most Powerful Women’.

Marry Barra, 52

CEO, General Motors

Marry Barra joined General Motors as an intern at the age of 18 in 1980 and went on to serve the auto maker in capacities as varied as n engineer, a manager and an administrator. She was serving as the vice president of Global Product development, purchasing and supply chain when the announcement of her promotion to the top job came. On 10th December 2013, she was named the CEO of General Motors-the $56billion auto manufacturer.
