Coach is a luxury American leather goods company. Coach was founded in 1941 in New York City by Gail Manufacturing Company. Coach is best known for ladies handbags as well as items such as luggage, briefcases, wallets and other novelty accessories. Earlier Coach used to innovate and make matching shoes, pens, key fobs and eyewear. In 1980, the company changed its name yet again to Coach Leatherware Company, Inc.
