The bile extracted from the gall bladders of black bears is believed to be medicinally gifted and able to cure problems ranging from eye ailments to cancer to AIDS. However, science has proved that this is a completely wrong notion. Most of the illegal markets are engaged in bear farming in which they keep bears in small confinements and milk them before killing to extract the gall bladder. The illegal trade of bears generates about $2 billion annually.

9. Caviar

The odd but very surely existing black market of caviar has lead to the fall of worldwide sturgeon population by 90 percent since the 1970s. These are expensive fish eggs that serve as a delicacy for rich people. Sturgeon is believed to exist since the dinosaur’s era but its population is diminishing at an alarming rate. The market generates about three quarters of a billion dollars every year.

10. Liquor

This is an ever growing market and even if the governments in different countries impose strict regulations, the trade in bootleg alcohol is still flourishing. A large mass has lost their lives in Czech Republic and India due to bootleg liquor that fills the pockets of crooks with about 20 million dollars annually.
