10 Gmail Features You Don't Know

#7 Gmail warns you on attachments

Most of the times in our mail, we mention the word “attachment” but go on to hit the send button without attaching one. It may be an embarrassing situation for the recipient to find a mail without the mentioned attachment. To save you from such happenings, Gmail intelligent searches for the word “attachment” in the mail, and warns you upon hitting the send button if you have not attached any file.

The pop up message says: Did you mean to attach files? You wrote "I have attached" in your message, but there are no files attached. Send anyway?

#6 Backup your messages

If you want to back up mails than the easiest way could be to sign up for a backup email account then you can set up your Gmail account so it forwards emails into the primary Inbox. Follow Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP. Once you're there just select 'Forward a copy of incoming mail to' and fill in your email address.
