If something goes wrong in Windows, you have to run to an expert to fix it. With Linux, you have discussion forums to help you achieve the same. Several distributors like Ubuntu are bending backwards to give excellent trouble-shooting-facility for their users. There were reports of how Ubuntu’s programmer solved an end-user’s complex routing problem spending three hours of his time. Further if you type the right keywords in Google, you are more than likely to have found an answer to your problem.  

6. Move bootable drives between machines without re-installing them

This feature is something that can never be imagined if you are on a Windows platform. If you upgraded the RAM by adding one more, Windows will always ask you to re-install. Not the case with Linux which negates the issue. You need not install the drives once you plug in your new USB device too.
