Yammer was found in the year 2008. Although Yammer was initially launched as a micro blogging service, later they revolutionized themselves into a platform where organizations and organizational employees could easily communicate with each other. Yammer now has a number of communication assisted applications that works on different kinds of operating systems. One best service of Yammer is that it uses the internet domain of the user for the communicational purposes, which means only registered users and those with appropriate email addresses can access services of Yammer. Yammer also provides a secure way in data communications. Yammer is considered to be a great social platform for businesses that prefer employees not to be on Facebook during work. Yammer allows employees to interact socially while doing their respective work.

And with Microsoft’s acquisition of Yammer in last June, it’s pretty clear that Yammer is all set to be one of the biggest players in enterprise software business technology.
