Bangalore: When it comes to investing in property, it is the most secure, safe and usable thing which is likely to bring good returns and appreciation in future. But, you need to ask yourself a question whether it is the right time to invest in property? Of course the property prices have escalated high and developers are struggling with their project completion and unsold units.

Gulam Zia, National Director, Knight Frank India said that "The current market scenario is not too conducive for investment in properties. Overall, the market has been behaving erratically with no sign of end-users' enthusiasm returning soon. Investors are looking out for sweeter deals as many developers are offering such bargains due to liquidity crunch." He further added that “Our advice to end-users is to hold on for an impending correction, whereas investors should look around for distressed deals," reports Preeti Kulkarni of Economic Times.

"This is certainly not a good time for speculative investment in under-developed areas lacking infrastructure and sufficient market drivers," according to Om Ahuja, CEO, residential services, Jones Lang LaSalle India.
