Parting thoughts
Ya! i personally feel that "the more hard work you will do, more luck you will seem to have." and knowledge is endlessly interesting.
Essential Advice
Understand the process first and need for testing. For maintaining the quality you should know about each and every criteria whether it is product or process. If you follow the testing standards according to detailed PPAP, chances of failure is very less.
Points of inflection
I started my career with quality, that taught me about controlling the process. Once you are the master in controlling the process you can work in any department in the industry. Quality raises your brain a standard ahead. You count the failure modes by your experience, was my inflecting point.
A Fine Balance:
It's easy " Don't take your Office to home and don't bring your home to Office". I try this more than often.
Changes in the industry
Now all the industry follows the Micro level testing, earlier it was Macro Level in some cases. But i feel it's good as the pupil having more awareness, so does the industries.
Most Important Decisions
I never said "NO" to any of the departments to work with, it includes Quality, Maintenance, R&D and Production. It gave me exposure to understand each and every aspect of the industry.
Currently working at
I work as Manager Production, It includes all the production and production related responsibilities.
Role Model
I did My Green Belt (Six Sigma) from ISI, Delhi. It was a three day training programme. The faculty inspired me alot due their simple approach to complex problems.
Plans for the Future
I have "Myopia", i can't see distant objects. HAHA! I am satisfied with the way i am moving, but yeah might be a step ahead in coming years!
Tech trends to watch out for
Technologies that reduces product cost.
Degrees that Matter
You can do the courses on :
1. TQM
2. TPM
3. Six Sigma
Current and Previous Responsibilities
I am a purely production guy at this point of time. Earlier it was R&D. Production is a combinational output of so many departments working together, in this department you have to take care of so many departments. Its tiring some times with unexpected break downs. But yeah it makes you learn more.
