 Sachin Dev Pavithran

Chennai born Sachin Dev Pavithran, has been living in the U.S. for 17 years and President Barak Obama has appointed Pavithran to the U.S. Access Board, an independent Federal agency devoted to people with disabilities.

Being a visually impaired, Pavithran never restrict himself from achieving success. He is a Program Director at Utah State University's Center for Persons with Disabilities, and he is holding this position since 2011. He has 12 years experience as a consultant on disability policy. Adding to his success, Pavithran been appointed as Member, Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board.

"These dedicated individuals bring a wealth of experience and talent to their new roles and I am proud to have them serve in this administration. I look forward to working with them in the months and years to come," Obama said in a statement.
