BANGALORE: With the exit of U.S. ambassador Nancy Powell, it is all set to make way for reorganizing U.S.-India relations with the new government in New Delhi. To take this relation forward, there is one name which is constantly making the rounds to head this prominent position. He is none other than the Guajarati born, Rajiv Shah, Head of USAID. He is Obama's pick for the job and presently is the highest ranking Indian American in his cabinet, reports the Economic Times.

Shah, who is 41 years of age, was born in Ann Arbor Michigan to immigrant parents from India. He was sworn in on December 31, 2009 as the 16th Administrator of USAID. According to the USAID, "Shah managed the U.S. government's response to the devastating 2010 earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti; co-chaired the State Department's first review of American diplomacy and development operations; and now spearheads President Barack Obama's landmark feed the Future food security initiative."
