Great Khali

Dalip Singh Rana, known by his ring name Great Khali is an Indian professional wrestler and power lifter, who is recognized as the first Indian to be signed up by WWE.

"Hailing from India, the Great Khali stands at an impressive 7ft 3in [2.21m] and weighs 420 pounds. This enormous monster has walked the jungles of India unafraid of pythons and wrestled White Bengal tigers," says the WWE website.

Khali who was born in a poor family in the state of Himachal Pradesh did not get the opportunity to study much and hence at an early age he started working as a road side stone breaker in order to support his family. Later on he was appointed as a constable in the Punjab police and in 1999 with the support from his family and colleagues Khali moved to U.S. and joined the wrestling school of All Pro Wrestling.

He debuted on WWE television in the year 2006, in the episode of SmackDown, where he attacked The Undertaker and left him defenceless. Thus the wrestling world realized the talents in him and he was introduced as the Great Khali, the next week.

The winner of World Heavyweight Champion and Slammy Award, Khali has also proved his skills in acting with his performance in four Hollywood and two bollywood movies.
