Now Talk To Your PC With Google Now

BANGALORE: Google has announced through its Twitter account that, it has begun rolling out Google Now cards for the desktop based versions of Chrome browser. Google Now is made available for the PC, Mac and Chrome OS versions of the browser and can be accessed by signing into the Chrome using the same account you use for the Google Now on iOS or Android.

Google Now will provide information regarding weather, traffic updates, sports or anything depending on what search you make. If you have saved your address, it will notify your travel time to home or office. Some of the notifications you receive may be compiled with data obtained from the location of your device.

Google Now will pop up a card on your device, while you make a search for something on the desktop. If you use multiple devices with Google Now feature turned on, the location settings need to be managed for each device independently. You can only view location based Google Now Cards on your devices that have location notification turned on.

If you do not require any significant information, you can dismiss the card, which enables the Google to make out what you see relevant and when. This service is currently available only in English, but Google is planning to add   more languages too.

In case you feel that you do not want Google Now on desktop, you can turn it off any time by clicking the bell icon located on the lower right corner of your PC or upper right corner of Mac, and uncheck the box next to Google now.
