Apple Replaces Google Maps From 'Find My iPhone' Web App

BANGALORE: Apple map service will soon replace Google maps and from now many of the company devices will be available with only Apple maps. Cupertino execute Apple maps into its Find my iPhone web app that will let you pin point your iPhone on a map using an iPad or other devices. You can also use web browsers on desktop and laptop.

The IOS app is already using it and soon the iCloud beta site will also allow using Apple maps. However, on Apple devices you can still use Google maps. Apple tried to replace Google maps with its own service but some problem rose like slowing down of the processes.

Apple Maps uses data from few different sources, one of which is TomTom, a GPS device manufacturer. Also, some of the minor user alterations are made like Zoom button that can be found in the lower right corner instead of upper left and the center map button cannot be found at all. Apple’s ‘map me’ gives levels of information from the internet and give options of selecting the modes like tourism, commute, weather and more.

Now Apple is showing more faith on its service and trying to bed in Apple maps wherever possible. It can be the result of the new Apple team formed in September 2013 that Apple is now launching a separate Apple Maps web app just like Google. But for now it is only available on beta version and Google is still a verdict.
