In a recent survey of 1,100 tech-hiring professionals by Dice, a job firm for tech professionals combined with other research, including an off-the-record conversation with an engineering VP who participates in hiring decisions, here are the list of 9 outdated tech skills and withering technologies that you may avoid putting them in your resume. #9 Windows XP Admin/Help Desk

At the time, Windows XP was ruling the corporate world, having skills in Windows XP Admin was covetous.  And as of now many IT professionals, from engineers to help desk support workers to system administrators, have significant XP experience. But the experience accounts little as Windows XP, which still holds the #2 spot for desktop operating market share just behind Windows 7, is heading to a closure. Microsoft ended XP license sales more than two years ago and plans to cease supporting it in less than a year.
