#1: The Single Button Trick

In the old design Facebook had two buttons – “Allow” and “Don’t Allow” – which gave you an option to make a decision. In the new App Center, Facebook removed one button. Now there is no confirmation, no decisions to make. One click and you are done! Your information gets passed on to the app developers and you don’t even notice it.

#2: The Tiny Gray Font Trick

We are used to ignore gray texts on the page. We are practically habituated to think that gray text is unimportant. Facebook designers know this and this is why they chose gray for the permissions you’re about to grant.
