5 Tech CEOs With Fattest Pay Checks


Bangalore: Imagine what pay checks does the CEOs of the biggest tech companies like Facebook and Apple get. They literally walk away with hundreds of dollars denominations on their pay checks.

GMI, a corporate governance research group has come up with GMI Ratings’ 2013 CEO Pay Survey, and it is one of the largest surveys of CEO compensation. The survey considered 2,259 CEOs whose tenure spanned the whole of the last two years in order to determine changes in executive compensation from 2011 to 2012. Here is the compilation by The Guardian about the five tech CEOs who got the fattest pay checks in 2012.

#5 Frank Coyne, Verisk Analytics – $100.4m

Frank Coyne is Chairman, former President, and former Chief Executive Officer of Verisk Analytics and its subsidiary, Insurance Services Office. Verisk Analytics, is an American information services firm based in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States. It provides information and analytical tools for companies in the insurance, healthcare, and financial services industries, among others.

Coyne benefited from massive share options exercising 2.4m options for $95.7 million. He stepped down as CEO of the risk assessment company this year and is now non-executive chairman.
