Data and information available over the various website on Indian Railways have helped this startup to jump in the race to. Names in waiting list cause a lot of anxiety to travelers. The trio from IIT Roorkee, Mohammad Amir and later joined by Vineet Chirania and Karan Kumar, wanted to eliminate this and hence decided to build an app to predict chances of confirmation of the names on waiting list.

"We have a colour-coding system so that the traveller can see the chances of his waiting list ticket getting confirmed. Accordingly, they can plan alternate options," says Chirania, director and CEO, Trainman.

Daily commuters can download the app for live station feed, which will display the departures of trains from a station for the next four hours. The startup has aimed to partner with other players to offer services such as food delivery and bookings.
