Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of Zomato has publicized the elimination of on-ground separate theme for the pure veg fleet, which was originally differentiated by the Green Color.

In its place, all the delivery partners of Zomato comprising those serving to the vegetarian orders, now they will put on the uniform Red color. This significant move by Zomato aims to avert any misidentification of Zomato delivery partners & lessen the possible issues with the owners & RWAs – Residential Welfare Associations throughout the exceptional occasions.

Regarding this subject, Deepinder Goyal on his X post announces that these policy revisions just a day followed by launching its Pure Veg Fleet. He said that the changes came after the alerts reverted by consumers & shareholders. A sensitive cause behind this alterations is the delivery partners in Red color uniforms might be not allowed to pass in strict community societies or discrimination for delivering non-vegetarian food.

Goyal said, "While we are going to continue to have a fleet for vegetarians, we have decided to remove the on-ground segregation of this fleet on the ground using the colour green. All our riders — both our regular fleet and our fleet for vegetarians, will wear the colour red”.

Also Goyal highlighted the vital significance of the rider’s safety & consumer satisfaction in pouring these amendments & addressing the unintentional penalties of the rollout happened earlier.

Goyal denoted, "Vegetarian orders will not be identifiable on the ground... This will ensure that our red uniform delivery partners are not incorrectly associated with non-veg food, and blocked by any RWAs or societies during any special days… our riders' physical safety is of paramount importance to us”.

Replying to the criticism on social media & other platforms, Goyal expounded that the mode of Pure Veg fleet, "doesn't serve or alienate any religious, or political preference."
