Caricme: This startup was started by three ex-employees of Infosys. The three friends Reetesh Rao, Rajesh Acharya and Kotresh Chatriki, got bored of their job and came up with an idea to start an online gift service platform. They take personalized caricature gift item orders and make sure they are delivered to people. They are slowly getting traction as big players as Amazon and Snapdeal are giving them the platform they need.

When they initially started the company, their parents were upset, spouse took a long time to convince and outsiders thought the idea weird. The three men have admitted that the first year was pretty tough. But now that the storms have settled they are hoping to increase the number of orders from 12 to 25 in a day.

Con Affetto: A startup company that provides edible bouquets was started by Alpana Agarwal and her younger sister. This startup has been doing well so far and they are looking at expanding to other cities apart from New Delhi. The price for these edible bouquets range from 600 to 3000 rupees and they are currently selling about 15 bouquets in a day.

As for advertisements, the sisters are slowly getting on to social media but the earliest form was the word of mouth that pretty much did wonders for them. The biggest challenge that these sisters feel is that they have to lure people to ignore flower bouquets and focus their gaze on to edible bouquets. This task will not come easy as flowers have always been around.
