It is also investing in developing innovative solutions, related to safety.  The company provides solutions to the Avionics industry in both commercial plane and rotor technology (helicopter).  Air data systems, flight control systems, and many firmware/software related systems are some of the primary focus.

TF is investing for developing innovative solutions, especially for the rotor technology, related to their safety and believes that it will add value to the Avionics industry with its innovation and aviation safety procedures.

Talking about its competitors and its USP, Shylesh Krishnan Co-founder and Executive Director ThoughtFocus exclaimed, “Developing software for the Avionics industry is very different to the kind of development work done for the IT industry. The challenge is to also have the software work on the hardware. Typically, the software development on this platform takes three to six months. Software development standard for airborne systems needs to follow DO178B and there are very few experts in India following this standard.”

“Besides this, there is a global standard AS9100 product development standard for aerospace, - It can take eight to twelve months to be able to get certified. It is a rigorous process to get this certification which makes it a high entry barrier to service this industry,” added Krishnan.
