Intel Capital Invests In Snapdeal, Bright Lifecare And S'pore Co


Bangalore: Intel Capital has invested around $16 million in two Indian and a Singapore based e-commerce company . The two Indian investments include Snapdeal and Bright Lifecare. The third company is Singapore’s Reebonz.com, run by S’pore Co, a private luxury goods retailers, which is an already existing portfolio company of Intel Capital since 2012, according to a report by Business Standard.

Bright Lifecare is an online market for nutrition, health and wellness products while Snapdeal.com is into consumer goods. Bright Lifecare also operates e-pharmacy network, HealthKartPlus.

Lately Indian e-commerce companies are attracting attention of many investors. In April, Intel co-invested in Snapdeal in a 280 crore round, along with eBay and other investors.  And around same time it invested $14 million alongside Sequoia Capital in HealthKartPlus.

The investment directors for these investments include Pradeep Tagare for Bright Lifecare, Mahesh Vaidya for Snapdeal.com and Deepak Natarajan for Reebonz.com.
