Indian Kony Gets $15 Million Funding


 

Bangalore: Kony, a company that builds mobile apps for business has announced a $15million third round of funding. This app company which is founded by an Indian, Raj Koneru, builds apps for companies and customers and promotes the Bring Your Own Device notion.

Kony has easily raised $39 million from various investors raising capital since 2007, this Florida based company has added a lot of companies as its customers for the flexible apps it makes and has received a mighty $15 million in the third round of funding. The company completed its fiscal year and boasts a 200% growth in business. It has added 30 new clients to its business in the last year including Toyota and Scottrade.

Kony One, Kony’s main platform allows business to make or write on single application that can run on various mobile devices. It has been consistently building apps for various sectors in business like Automotive, Retail and Media. Its new project includes building business to employee app, but it also faces severe competition from other mobile software building company Netbiscuits which serves eBay and Seimens.
