Employee Referral Site WhistleTalk Raises $400,000 from Hyderabad Angels


Bangalore: WhistleTalk, a Bangalore based online employee referral site has procured funding worth $400,000 from Hyderabad Angels. Raghu Bathina, a member of Hyderabad Angels led the round of funding reports firstpost.com

WhistleTalk focuses on employee referral by using social networking sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Plus, to assist referrals for job openings. “We are specifically going after referrals because we notice that emails about job openings circulated within the organization usually get ignored,”said Vinoo Chacko CEO of Whistle Talk.

WhistleTalk lets a user or employee log in to the website by using any of the social networking credentials and lets to search through the friend network to get a matching profile for the openings. The company was founded in January 2012 and it claims to have a massive client list of 5 major companies and over one thousand users.

Hyderabad Angels started its operations two years ago and is a collective network of angel investors that invests in companies in mobile solutions, tech and cloud.
