Chennai Based Orangescape Grabs $1 Million Fund from IAN


Bangalore: The Chennai based Cloud PaaS(Platform as a Service) provider, Orangescape has raised $1M from the Angel funding group IAN. As a result of the investment, Sharad Sharma, a member of India Angel Network would join the board of Orangescape.

Orangescape that has its offices in North America, UK and Western Europe was founded by Suresh Sambandam and Mani Doraisamy in 2003. The company develops business application based on visual interface in 5GL environment and has tie ups with many tech firms like Wipro, TCS and Geojit.

The founders of the company, who intend to focus the funding into development and business expansion, are highly experienced techies and have earlier worked in HP, Myth Advertising and Selectica. The apps produced by Orangescape, a company with strength of fifty five employees, can be implemented over various cloud platforms like Google App Engine, Microsoft Azure and IBM Smart by the Orangescape Studion on browser. Focused on development of Lotus note applications, Orangescape has partnered with the UK based CIMTrek, recently.

Indian Angel Network has been involved in numerous investment deals across India and shows interest in businesses that have strong future prospects and entrepreneurs who can provide evidence of the validation of their concept. Orangescape’s quality service in Paas cloud based applications has evidently attracted the funder to make the million dollar stake.
