Chennai Based ChargeBee raises $ 350K from Angel Investors in U.S.


Bangalore: ChargeBee, a Chennai based startup which is run by American headquartered BubblePath Inc has raised around $350,000 from undisclosed angel investors in the United States reports dealcurry.com.

ChargeBee intends to utilize the raised funds to expand into allied fields of digital media, SaaS, commerce and retail subscription. It also plans to launch new features and also targets further expansive investments. It is currently focused on international markets and has customers mainly from U.S, U.K and Singapore. It only has around three clients from India.

The company was founded by a four team member – Krish, Saravanan, Rajaram and Thiyagarajan in June 2011. It currently employs 10 people and has also acquired over 100 private beta users out of which 11 have gone live with its billing system.

ChargeBee offers subscription management and recurring billing platform that delivers ready to plug and play billing solution on cloud storage and it also helps in automating credit card billing and track unpaid services.
